YoungPerps Case No. 1807039-73

July 10, 2018, 8:57 p.M. Petty theft. One perp, 18 year old latino male, 5’9” was Case No. 1807039-73 detained after it was reported that he was stealing adult dvd’s. The suspect was escorted to the back room by the loss prevention officer, who began conducting his investigation. The young boy was adamant that he did not steal, but following a standard body search, the officer found the stolen property in the boy’s draw-string bag. Upon further investigation, the dvd that the store is missing was the one spotted in the suspect’s bag, and there was no surveillance footage of him checking out. Fearful of the repercussions, the perp bartered with the officer in exchange for his freedom. The pair reached a mutual understanding, and the suspect was allowed to leave without any further involvement of law enforcement.
